No that’s not a typo! My super sweet bride Toni was in her second trimester on her wedding day and can you even tell!!
When Toni first contacted me to start chatting about her custom design she had just found out they were expecting their first bub and she had her heart set on a 50s/60s inspired tea length wedding dress. It can always be a challenge when your dream dress is a fitted vintage style and you also need to consider a baby bump but Toni’s little bump was barely showing so we could still do a fitted vintage style – yay!
All of the gorgeous images were by Jessika Herling.
Toni chose a bateau neck bodice with a tea length full circle skirt. Around the waist was a sewn in waistband featuring a fabric bow in the centre front. The entire gown was made from dupion silk in an antique shade. The back of the bodice featured a v back to add a little design detail for the moments when guests saw the back of the gown.
Under the tea length skirt was the most subtle of petticoats just to give just a little extra fullness.
Toni looked absolutely gorgeous in her custom gown – the design and colour was just perfect for her!!
