I’ve recently had a wonderful time working with a couple of friends who were getting married at a similar times to each other and I have some gorgeous images of one of those ladies wedding days.

Rebecca had a custom design featuring 3/4 sleeves and a rounded neckline with a sweetheart underbodice.  The back then featured a v neck to add a little change of detail.  All of the bodice had a gorgeous soft chantilly lace over silk organza and to set off her waist we went for a simple sewn in waist band that gave the look of a belt without the buckle detail at the front.

Her skirt was a tea length skirt featuring 4 deep pleats at the front as well as at the back.  This style looks fabulous on so many brides as it adds some design detail without bulky gathers at the waist and the deep pleats add length.  The entire skirt had a layer of silk organza over dupion silk to give a more matt finish which blended perfectly with the matt lace on the bodice.

To finish her very retro look I also made a short fly away veil in soft ivory tulle which she wore lower in her hair.

A special thank you to Ray Williams Photography who captured their wonderful day – if you would like to see more shots of their day there are plenty more on his blog!
