I had the pleasure of working with gorgeous Krystal recently and creating her custom tea length wedding dress with sleeves.  When she came to me she knew that she wanted a tea length dress and that it had to have sleeves.  I just love creating bridal gowns with sleeves as it’s so different to the standard dresses in “mainstream” wedding dress boutiques.  She had seen the images of my custom design for Fiona’s dress and really loved it so we decided to use the bodice of Fiona’s dress but change the skirt to the Betty skirt.  This is such a flattering design for all brides and adds a little detail in the soft pleats without adding bulk around the waist.

Krystal loved the idea of a silk dress instead of the simple cotton that was used in Fiona’s gown so we chose a lovely ivory dupion silk for her entire gown.  The little cuff detail on the sleeves were kept from the inspiration design and I added a narrow waist band with a gorgeous vintage inspired brooch in the centre to add a little bit of glitz without going over the top.

I’m so excited to share with you all her absolutely stunning photos captured by Oliver from Dreamlife Photography Auckland.  I just loooooove the quaint little location they had for their photography and it’s super special to have pictures of her getting ready with her lovely mum!!
